SLM project is the first EPC project undertaken by Qingdao Zhongyi Engineering Technology Co., LTD in Pakistan, which is a joint venture between China and Pakistan and belongs to the national "Belt and Road" project.

In June 2021, during the epidemic period, 15 people from the Zhongyi Engineering Department leave the safety circle of the motherland, went to the project site at Pakistan without hesitate, and undertook the installation tasks of the tread line, tire side line, lining layer, cutting machine, forming machine, vulcans and other equipment in the semi-product workshop.

At the beginning of the local, the maximum temperature during the day is 38 ° C, and the housing panel of the steel structure plant on the site has not been constructed, the workers are installing it under the hot sun. Construction electricity relies on diesel generators transported from China to the site, and installation materials are also transported from China to the site. The local workers employed have limited professional skills, low working efficiency and difficulty in language communication. As general director of the project Mr Futong Lei, with a resilience and multi-role, with the technical director Baowei Fan through the way of help, teaching, using scientific project management methods to lead the installation team, which more than 50 people. After several months of persistence and efforts to complete the installation task on schedule, SLM customers in March 2022 smoothly produced tires. Zhongyi team has won the recognition of customers in terms of installation progress, installation quality, safety control and active cooperation.

This is a milestone project that has taken shape since the overseas business expansion of Zhongyi Company in 2017. It is precisely because of such a group of Zhongyi people who are silently dedicated and dutiful for the development of the company that the project will be smoothly implemented and successfully delivered to customers. Its smooth implementation has improved the company's management ability of overseas EPC projects and is more conducive to further exploring overseas markets.
